Back in the days when I did speaking gigs, I used to go to a local lady when I needed a spray tan or my nails done. I found out about her through word of mouth, which is a good job really.

I was looking for her phone number one day so I went onto her Facebook page and this is what I saw.

Post after post after post saying “Spray tan £25, gels £25”

That was it.

No photos. No before and afters. Nothing about her. No testimonials. Nothing about the products she uses.

Just endless, identical posts.

I’m guessing she thought this would do.

She was part-time, working around little ones. She was booked up, so no need to market really.

But things can change in a heartbeat. People can stop buying overnight for reasons that have nothing to do with you. Even if you don’t have space right now, you should always keep your marketing up.

You never know when you’ll need new clients.

Love, Claire xx
