Every so often I get one of those ‘On Your Doorstep’ mini magazine things full of adverts for local tradespeople.
If I need a local tradesperson, this is what I do:
- I ask my immediate friends and family for recommendations
- I ask my Facebook friends for recommendations
- I either Google or look at my latest ‘On Your Doorstep’ and find possible candidates
- I check out their social media, then their website, then Trustpilot.
If I don’t have personal recommendations, I ALWAYS check out their socials and search their name/business name on FB/Google to check there are no terrible reviews on there.
If that’s how I do it, it’s probably how others do it.
Make sure your socials are up to date, your hours are up to date, you have testimonials and reviews on there and remember someone might be looking at your socials, deciding whether to contact you.
