When my daughter was little she thought we were saying lit barn, when we were actually saying lip balm.
Now it’s like an insider thing. We all call it lit barn.
Same with ‘panda’ (thunder) storms.
We often have our own little insider things we say or do with family and friends.
And you can have them in business too.
Sometimes it’s a nickname for a thing or a process, that people in your industry ‘get’ and understand.
Sometime’s it’s an abbreviation you all use.
Sometimes it’s just the proper names of things that ‘outsiders’ wouldn’t know.
And sometimes it’s insider jokes, like the craft stash that never gets used, only added to…
My point is, these little names and abbreviations make people feel included and ‘in the gang’ if you use them in marketing. They only ‘get’ it if they are one of you. It’s a quick shortcut to building relationships with your audience.
