I have an Apple watch. It has a Snoopy face option. Every time I turn my wrist, Snoopy is doing something different.
Sometimes he marches across the screen with Woodstock. Just now he jumped off the big hand into a pile of leaves. The next time I looked he was parachuting into my watch with Woodstock in a mini parachute following him. He does something different every time. Look!
It’s such a little thing but my Snoopy watch face makes me so happy.
Little things that make people smile go a long way.
One small business I buy regularly from (Masato Jones from yesterday’s email) has drawings on every envelope. They make me smile and cost them nothing, just a few seconds of time.
Another business sends a tiny packet of Love Hearts with every order. I’ve seen lovely personal notes, funny ‘care’ instruction business cards, and I remember them. They made me think of you.
What can you do that costs nothing or a tiny amount, that takes hardly any time so won’t slow you down?
Something that makes your customer feel special.
Something that differentiates you from the faceless ‘big guys’?
