Over the weekend I watched Mrs Harris Goes to Paris and I loved it for lots of reasons. But one bit stuck with me and I wanted to share it with you.
In one scene, I think it was at Dior, they talk about Estee Lauder selling ‘jars of hope’. Not face cream or skin care. Jars of hope.
Isn’t that spot on? That’s exactly why people buy those expensive moisturisers.
People buy my training because it’s a path to freedom and independence.
When you learn marketing, grow your business and make good money, it gives you choices.
You don’t have to work for someone else. You can work your own hours. You have spare money for holidays and nice things. And you get more confidence.
So, yes, I sell marketing training but I also sell the real possibility a lovely future.
So, what do you REALLY sell? And why do people buy what you sell? And can you use that in your marketing?
Love, Claire xx
