The other evening I went out with my torch to put the chickens to bed. At the end of our path that runs alongside the chicken paddock, my head torch picked up some bright eyes staring back at me, maybe 50 feet away.
I thought I could maybe make out a faint outline but it wasn’t clear. I knew it was a badger though. Just from where the eyes were positioned and the way it moved. It behaved like a badger.
And it made me think of you.
Not because you’re a badger but because you’re an expert. You don’t need to go around shouting ‘excuse me! I’m an expert!’ but you can show you’re an expert by behaving like one.
Be confident in your ability. Talk about your business topic. Give advice. Stand your ground when you know you’re right. Your expertise will shine through even without a head torch.
